Les adhérents de Techtera peuvent faire réaliser un pré-diagnostic de leurs actions de propriété industrielle (brevets, protection des marques, enveloppes soleau, protection des dessins et modèles...) par l'INPI (Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle). Ceci dans le cadre d'une convention conclue entre le pôle et cet organisme. Ce pré-diagnostic est gratuit.
