Techtera offers a whole range of services to firms and establishments engaged in technical research, and to members of the cluster.

The aim is not only to provide the tools essential for creating and accomplishing their R&D projects, but also to enable them to make a success of their innovations. Some of these services are reserved for members. Others are open to all those working in the sector and the perimeter activities of the cluster.

Techtera methods are structured and approved : the cluster has been awarded ISO 9001 certification.

  • Innovation workshops: three or four themes are tackled in the year, during half or one-day workshops – open to non-members by invitation
  • Crosswise workshops: an average of three meetings in the year, dedicated to managing the innovation – for members only
  • Work teams, called “Project” Groups, are set up after each innovation workshop
  • The aim is to continue refining ideas initiated within the workshops – for members only (industries, research laboratories)
  • Project follow-up: (consulting and engineering, formalities, structuring, technical notice, labelling, funding requests, possible reorientation towards other finance, consortium agreements, launching/follow-up, communication) – for members only
  • Project labelling: this is included in the project follow-up; it precedes funding requests and ensures the quality of the innovation and partnerships procedures – for members only
  • Research-innovation trips: organized by Techtera to target markets in the sector, with a view to developing international partnership projects and forming or increasing B-to-B contacts – for members only
  • Pre-diagnoses of patent rights: these are carried out in cooperation with the INPI (national institute of patent rights), and are available free of charge to small to medium businesses and industries that are members of the cluster.

The Techtera label

Techtera raises strategic questions addressing major technical and economical issues of the technical textile industry. The cluster assists collaborative research proposals resulting from this questioning process, up to trial phase and products prototyping.

The “Techtera approved” label guarantees a highly innovative project and a thorough collaborative process : 104 projects have already got this label.
