The competitiveness cluster of the technical and functional textile industry in Rhône-Alpes

Innovation workshops are the distinctive feature and one of the most prominent services provided by Techtera. They have been conceived and organised by the cluster since 2006.

Objective : to favour innovation between businesses by encouraging them to take an active part in collaborative research projects involving public or private laboratories and other businesses of all sizes (SMEs, groups).

Innovation-Workshops allow participants to deal with important subjects and help to connect business leaders with R&D managers and researchers. In the meanwhile, they benefit from the network effect induced by Techtera and broaden their perspectives.
The final goal is to reach new markets and to raise their competitiveness.

Since 2006, Innovation-Workshops have treated 9 subjects (the workshops took place during 1 day or ½ day):

• Textile and Health
• Textile, a strategic material for acoustic
• Alternatives to traditional finishing techniques
• Filtration and air-scattering in a constrained space
• Silicone, a material with different forms
• Sensitivity, a key factor for the success of tomorrow's Technical and Functional Textiles
• Special points of the composite materials industry: joints between parts, specific and complex shapes
• Nano-materials, sources for innovative applications in technical textiles
• Derma-textiles: textile solutions for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory cutaneous diseases
  

Each workshop is open to member and non-member companies. A contribution fee is requested.
