The competitiveness cluster of the technical and functional textile industry in Rhône-Alpes

Before being supported by Techtera, a project undergoes a double check, done by two different authorities:

• The Technical and Scientific Commission, composed of leading figures from scientific or industrial background. The TSC undergoes a thorough examination of the project, keeping in mind several factors, such as the level of innovation, the impact on markets, the collaboration between industry/research/education. It then decides if the project is acceptable for a Techtera label, or not. Its members are compelled to respect the strictest confidentiality. If they do not abide by this rule, they can be expelled.
• The Executive Bureau, composed of prominent figures from a scientific and industrial background. The Executive Bureau agrees on the final recommendation. Its grants the project the Techtera label or not. Finally, It gives its opinion about the project's structure, but does not know either the content of the project nor the partners involved, in order to respect the principle of confidentiality.

The Techtera label guarantees:

• the quality of the collaborative process
• The projects’ highly innovative contents

It facilitates access to funding. For some funding, the Techtera label brings a bonus that can amount to 15% of the funding.
