 Today, four years after the creation of Techtera, we can say that we have proven our efficiency and confirmed our methods :
- In 2008, 40 new collaborative R&D projects were supported by Techtera. The total number of projects now reaches more than a hundred
- €65 million worth of fund were provided to businesses
- More than 150 companies, laboratories or training structures benefited from our support since 2005
- More than 250 participants attended our Innovation-Workshops
- The survey carried out by the French government in 2008 ranked Techtera among the 39 clusters out of 71 “having reached their objectives”.
- The standardisation process we initiated in the beginning of 2008 was also successful: within one year, Techtera has managed to obtain the ISO 9001 standard, which confirmed that the cluster's methodology was accurate, and provided a frame for future activities and improvements.
In 2009, the global economic crisis strengthens our determination to exploit :
- innovation
- alliances
- network connections
- using tools and a suitable methodology
Our objective will be double :
- To make Techtera the European leader for collaborative R&D. This is an ambitious but realistic goal.
- To make our economic sector and our member companies Europe's leaders for next generation textiles
