A private industrial research and development centre dedicated to textile innovation, CETI supports companies from the design to the industrialisation of new textile solutions and fibrous materials. At the interface between applied research, scientific expertise and industrial reality, it intervenes from the material and the process to the product and its industrial transfer.
Its teams rely on complementary pilot and pre-industrial platforms: compounding, spinning and fibres; non-wovens; spinning, weaving and knitting; mechanical and thermomechanical recycling; wet spinning; characterisation and performance measurement.
Its support covers four dimensions:
- R&D, to develop new materials, processes, and products and overcome scientific and technical hurdles;
- Validation, through feasibility studies, proofs of concept, and pilot trials;
- Optimisation, to improve performance, robustness, reproducibility, and environmental impact;
- Industrial transfer, to support scale-up and secure technical, economic, regulatory, and standards-related aspects.
This approach effectively removes the risks from innovation projects by identifying difficulties early on, securing technology choices and investments, and accelerating time-to-market.
CETI also provides advanced technical training — using its expertise and platforms — to develop and transfer industrial skills.
Its ambition is to transform sustainable textile innovation into solutions that are ready for industrial scale-up, economically viable, compliant, and fully controlled.
