Established in Dambach-la-Ville since 1924, Labonal — short for “La Bonneterie d’Alsace” — has been producing socks for over a century, renowned for their outstanding comfort and uncompromising quality.

The company experienced significant growth in the 1970s, employing more than 1,000 people and becoming France’s leading men’s sock manufacturer.

After withdrawing from the market in 1996, the iconic panther brand was relaunched in 2006 with the ambition of preserving its unique expertise while embracing innovation.

With the launch of its new brand, La Frenchie by Labonal®, the company is introducing a new generation of socks based on a fully French supply chain, from yarn production to the finished product.
