- Halting the degradation of ecosystems, by managing and improving the Natura 2000 network, and thus accelerating sustainable development

598 million for the 2022 call to fund projects in four sub-programmes:
- Nature and Biodiversity. PAA closing date: 04/10/2022
- Circular Economy and Quality of Life. PAA closing dat: 04/10/2022
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation. PAA closing date: 04/10/2022
- Transition to clean energy. PAA closing date: 16/11/2022
- Type of call for projects: single partner or collaborative
- Project promoter: public (laboratories, universities) or private legal entity (VSEs, SMEs, ETIs, large groups) from the European Union (including overseas territories) or from countries associated with the LIFE programme (e.g. Iceland)
- Dimension: European (more than 2 countries = transnational partnership with bonus) but possibility to have only one country represented.
- Funder: Europe
- Project size: > 500k€ – up to 5M€. Average budget: 1.5 – 2 M€ (NB: project duration between 2 and 5 years)
- Funding modalities: subsidies (55% of eligible costs).
