From “Écollant” to “REC”: A new identity to accelerate Polyamide Recycling in France

21 . 01 . 2026

Founded as Écollant and recently renamed REC, this young Deep Tech enterprise, specialising in polyamide recycling, is now embarking on a major development phase with the deployment of its first industrial facility. This evolution marks a real contribution towards organising the textile and technical materials sector in France; particularly concerning complex textiles, which currently undergo very little recycling.

Early in 2026, REC will move onto a site that will house an industrial line dedicated to the processing and transformation of textile waste containing polyamide. This industrial project is based on a total investment of around €5 million, primarily allocated to process equipment: material preparation units, polymer component separation, and extrusion of recycled polyamide into granules.

The equipment is expected to arrive in Spring 2026, followed by a ramp-up and industrial qualification phase until the Summer. Ultimately, the site aims for a production capacity of 50 to 100 tonnes of recycled polyamide per year, as from the second half of 2026. This production is intended for industrial textile and technical applications.
