The Workplace 5.0 project – Work, Technologies and Performance for Industry 5.0 – was born from the desire to support industrial transformations by placing human work at the heart of technological innovation processes.
While Industry 4.0 approaches have largely promoted the development of digital technologies and automation, this project is part of the Industry 5.0 perspective. It seeks to reconcile industrial performance, occupational health and the development of operators’ capacity to act.
Led jointly by the G-SCOP and ACTé laboratories, the project aimed to develop an operational approach for designing and empowering collaborative human-robot work situations. These situations aim to make the collaborative robot a true support for human activity. To promote learning, autonomy, mastery of the work situation, and the preservation of the operators’ physical, cognitive, and social resources.
The results showed that such a design makes it possible to reduce certain physical constraints, to maintain a workload compatible with the activity, to preserve production performance while offering more choice and control for operators.
