Satab innovates with 3D printing on narrow textiles

20 . 01 . 2025

Satab marks a major technological advance by becoming the first French manufacturer to integrate 3D printing on Stratasys narrow textiles. This innovation opens up new creative perspectives for designers, offering them the possibility of designing high-end limited and customisable editions – with relief prints up to 50 mm high – on rigid or elastic ribbons.

The technology is based on opaque or transparent resins and a palette of 600,000 colours, enriched by Pantone® tints, with matte or glossy finishes, thus creating remarkable optical illusion effects. Satab proposes this 3D printing on different supports and widths, renewing its proposals for the packaging and fashion (haute couture) sectors; also, the industrial, automotive and aeronautics sectors. The various supports and widths available allow flexible integration in many fields, thus renewing the application possibilities of narrow textiles.

The process used by the company, transforms the world of printing on ribbons, straps, cords and braids. This consolidates the Satab position as a reference in the field of narrow textiles.
