Satab is developing inkless printing processes, affirming its commitment to more environmentally friendly production.
By integrating two innovative techniques, the company, which specialises in the manufacture of “Made in France” ribbons, proposes sustainable systems that meet the ecological requirements of its clients.
The first process, embossing, consists of hot stamping. This creates raised patterns on the ribbon, replacing the colours with a tone-on-tone embossing effect.
The second process, laser marking, uses a light beam to engrave patterns directly onto textile fibres, providing a visual effect similar to a tattoo.
These methods are compatible with a wide range of ribbons, including those made from paper yarns or FSC-certified Tencel®. These ensure a reduced environmental impact. Satab is thus expanding its ink-and-water free printing proposals; facilitating the transition to more responsible packaging while reducing the consumption of natural resources.
Thanks to these innovations, Satab is positioning itself as a key player in the development of sustainable solutions for the fashion and packaging sectors.
