Science et Surface: ISO17025 certification – competence of calibration laboratories

Science et Surface is the first French surface analysis laboratory to be accredited ISO17025 by COFRAC!

It received this accreditation for its search and identification of foreign bodies in all kinds of materials. They used a scanning electron microscope equipped with an EDS detector (SEM – EDS) and/or infrared spectroscopy with chemical mapping (FTIR) and/or optical spectrometer.

During ISO17025 certification, the role of COFRAC is to assess competence and award certification to laboratories and calibration / testing units.

This new accreditation allows the Science et Surface laboratory to strengthen its expertise in surface analysis, particularly on textiles and flexible supports; and to provide a recognised quality of service – with a team in place for nearly 25 years.
