Syntetica and Michelin are accelerating nylon recycling

An industrial partnership focused on the chemical recycling of technical textiles

Michelin’s The Sustainable Materials Centre  and the Deep tech startup Syntetica announce a partnership aimed at accelerating the industrialization of a chemical recycling process for nylon applied to blended technical textiles.

The project will be deployed within the Michelin Innovation Park – Cataroux, in Clermont-Ferrand.

The aim is to take a further step towards the industrial recycling of textiles rich in nylon; thanks to the combination of Michelin’s industrial know-how and the patented process developed by Syntecica.

The pilot installation will benefit from the infrastructure, technical teams and operational capabilities of the Sustainable Materials Centre in order to transform this technology into a reproducible industrial solution.
