Techtera is actively involved in ambitious projects to organise and strengthen the value chain of the French textile industry; and thus, face up to the challenges of innovation, industrial sovereignty and sustainable transition.

Working with major initiatives such as PATENTH and ORATEX, Techtera supports concrete action to shape the future of textiles in France.

The PATENTH project (Support Platform for the Environmental Transition of Textiles and Clothing), launched by  IFTH, helps textile manufacturers optimise their processes; from raw materials management to the end of product life. It establishes indicators around four criteria: hazardous substances, discharges, durability in use, and recycling.

Techtera and IFTH are also partners of ORATEX, led by MASSEBEUF Textiles, which aims to implement the production and marketing of polyester or polyamide multifilament yarns in France. A 500 m² platform in the Drôme region will produce these yarns under industrial conditions, thus meeting the needs for small and medium series with the possibility of integrating bio-sourced or recycled materials. An innovation support system will allow manufacturers to design yarns that match their ambitions.

These projects, supported and accompanied by Techtera, reflect the cluster’s strong commitment to supporting the transformation of the textile industry towards more responsible and innovative models.. To know more.
