The partnership, initiated in 2020 between the French company RBX Créations and the German research centre DITF Denkendorf, received a new award last September: the International Cooperation Award at the annual conference of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation, held in Uzbekistan.
The subject of the collaboration, entitled “-“, refers to the spinning technology developed by DITF, based on a closed-loop ionic liquid.
Iroony® is the trademark registered by RBX Créations for its materials developed from agricultural biomass, in particular hemp, to extract cellulose.
The combination of these two areas of expertise thus makes it possible to obtain pure hemp cellulose fibres and filaments; or those mixed with other plants such as miscanthus with versatile technical characteristics, suitable for various applications.
