Techtera members are involved in four of these prize-winning projects

In July 2026, the European ELEVATEX project, coordinated by Techtera, closed its first call for projects. With a budget of €600,000, it provides for the co-financing of European textile SME projects. The call attracted the interest of more than 230 companies from 26 countries, giving rise to strong competition between high-quality proposals. On the French side, 31 applications were submitted.

Following the selection process, twenty winning projects were chosen. Launched in October 2026, they will continue until March 2027 and will cover a wide range of themes: recycling of technical textiles; sustainable coatings; automated handling of flexible materials; fitting centre for the production of work clothes; …

Among these initiatives, four French proposals from Techtera members were selected. A total of €120,000 in funding will be allocated to support their implementation and development:

  • NOVA-SCALE, supported by PRONEEM: Industrial scaling up and toxicological validation of biodegradable microcapsules. Intended for textile applications without microplastics.
  • ONE-LOOP: industrialisation of upcycling for end-of-life personal protective equipment. It starts with equipment for firefighters, through the automation of dismantling, cutting and manufacturing.
  • HYDROSCALE: Scaling up a hydrophobic and bio-based textile finish without PFAS, compatible with the current production equipment of textile companies.
  • TEXTIUM 700: Implementation of a semi-automated production line for the chemical and enzymatic recycling of end-of-life textiles.

The variety proposed by these 4 projects demonstrates both the complexity of the challenges facing the textile industry and the ability of companies in the sector to develop multiple and effective solutions.
