The textile sector is mobilizing to make up for the lack of over-gowns in hospitals

As part of the fight agains COVID-19, the French Strategic Sector Commitee for Fashion and Luxury and the IFTH (Institut Français du Textile et de l’Habillement) aswered the call from the DGE (Direction Générale de l’Armement) to coordinate the mobilization of companies for the production of washable, anti-fouling over-gowns. 

This over-gown is for hospital workers invovled in the current health crisis. It is designed to be worn over the usual gown.

The IFTH has published a technical file and a guide for putting it onto the market.

• The technical file includes a technical description of the patterns, a bill of material, and an assembly task list.
  The over-gown is not subject to any testing or validation procedures.
