With 160 years’ experience, the mission of the “École Centrale de Lyon” is to train generalist engineers and specialists in various disciplines.
With its six research units located on campus, all approved by the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), it combines training and research.
Firmly rooted in its epoch, aware of globalisation and the resulting competition, it has made agreements with other universities around the world for more than 50 years, in the form of double degrees or partnerships.
It also maintains permanent contacts with industrial groups, regularly present on campus. Lastly, going beyond the base of scientific and technical skills, the “École Centrale de Lyon” offers an openness to the world and an approach to the human and social sciences, which today adds a mark of distinction to engineers coming from the “École Centrale de Lyon”.
