They are members: RECYCLocal Textiles

RECYCLocal Textiles was born from the determination of committed industrial groups to organize a short-loop textile recycling sector in support of the circular economy. The facility began operations in November 2025, following nearly three years of collaborative work and industrial cooperation driven by the regional cooperation hub RECYCL’Occ Textile.

The cooperative brings together eight founding members:

  • Buitex, Manufacturer of insulation made from textile waste
  • Coleo, a European industrial group specializing in textile recycling
  • Europrotect, manufacturer of technical textiles
  • Les Filatures du Parc, carded yarn spinner using natural materials
  • Paul Boyé Technologies, manufacturer of uniforms and protective clothing
  • PETshka, chemical recycler of polyester
  • Atelier REGAIN, weaving workshop
  • PTCE RECYCL’Occ Textile

Based in the Occitanie region, the RECYCLocal Textiles unit receives post-consumer textiles, unsold stock, workwear, production offcuts, and more. The materials undergo automated sorting by composition (cotton, polyester, wool, etc.) and colour, and are then prepared for recycling through the removal of contaminants such as buttons, zippers, and accessories.

Once sorted and qualified, the recoverable raw material (over 70% of the tonnage received) is recycled by the cooperative’s members, who use it in their own industrial processes (spinning, non-wovens, plastics processing, garment manufacturing, chemical recycling, etc.).

This innovative cooperative model secures long-term market outlets, reduces transport, and guarantees full material traceability from waste to finished product
