They are new members: MUOVI

Muovi specialises in the recovery of post-industrial polyester (PES) textile waste, which it transforms into recycled raw material in the form of plastic granules.

Its production line, consisting of a series of machines, allows the recovery of textiles in various forms: webbing, selvedge, threads, fibres, nonwovens, etc. This continuous flow system can produce approximately 500 kg/h.

The Muovi project was born in February 2023 when Samuel Berger and Marine Grandbarbe, then employees of a PET recycling plant, noticed the discontinuation of the PES textile waste recycling business. Seizing this opportunity, they decided to purchase the dedicated production line and form a partnership to create Muovi.

Today, Muovi offers manufacturers:

  • A recycling service: Muovi recycles industrial textile waste and returns the resulting plastic pellets to reincorporate them into its manufacturing process.
  • The purchase of PES textile waste: Muovi purchases post-industrial PES textile waste according to its specifications and the conditions agreed upon between the two entities.
  • The sale of pellets: Depending on the nature of the PES textile waste processed, Muovi proposes different ranges of plastic pellets, adaptable in viscosity and colour to meet client requirements.

In 2024, Muovi upgraded 490 tons of PE waste. It plans to double this figure by 2025.
