Project description
Develop a new method of screening for heart illness in women, by combining MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and connected textiles.
INOCA (ischaemia with non-obstructive coronary artery disease) is a cardiovascular disease that mainly affects women, and is difficult to diagnose. Coronary angiography is the gold standard, but it is invasive, ionising and expensive. Cardiac stress MRI is a promising alternative, but the quality, comfort and robustness of the examination still need to be improved.
