SIGVARIS GROUP France launches the first waterless-dyed compression stocking

15 . 10 . 2025

As part of its CSR (corporate social responsability) procedures, SIGVARIS aims to reduce its water consumption by 60% by 2030 compared with 2009. This commitment is managed within a water-saving plan that consolidates various actions, including process and product innovations. In April 2025, the company launched its first waterless-dyed compression stocking, reducing water consumption by 90% on its “Dynaven Fin” medical compression product range.

A new waterless dyeing process

From the design of compression products to their distribution on the market, SIGVARIS France takes care of the entire manufacturing process for compression socks, stockings and tights in France. This traditional process requires the dyeing of socks, stockings and tights, when knitted and prepared, by soaking them in baths of water and dye. Since 2009, the company has already accomplished many objectives, including the development of new dye methods to reduce the quantity of baths, and reduced its water consumption by 35%. In 2025, the company has accelerated its transformation and continues innovating in its manufacturing processes to continue its efforts to save water. The company has thus integrated a waterless dyeing process for its new Dynaven Homme product range, thanks to the use of yarns coloured at the source without water. With this innovation, SIGVARIS no longer uses water on black products in the new Dynaven Homme range. This reduces the total water consumption of this range by 90%. In the coming months, this process will be extended to new ranges.
