WEARTRONIC, the Haute-Savoie technology start-up known for developing smart clothing, has just finalised the development of a second patent concerning the integration of high-power LEDs in textiles.
The firm is currently the only one able to integrate an electronic device that can achieve 22,000 Lumens of power when these LEDs are added together. In fact, the lighting power of a normal LED is 10 Lumens.
This second patent, presented as a preview at the National Firefighters Congress in September, opens the way to new applications for the firm in the field of victim search (clothing integrating a light-flashing device indicating a distress situation).
The system has already won over the Paris Fire Brigade and other emergency services. This device has also been selected as an innovative technology by the French Ministry for the Interior. WEARTRONIC can integrate it into other textile applications.
